Part of the revered Fine & Rare series from The Macallan, this 15-year-old expression was distilled in 1947 and originally bottled in 1962, before being re-bottled in 2018. Presented at a strength of 45.4% abv, this release had a total outturn of just 270 bottles.

Nose: The nose is peated with citrus fruits, chocolate orange and vanilla, atop an oaky background note.
Palate: The palate brings light fruits and peat with bitter chocolate and wood spice.
Finish: A peaty finish with lingering fruits.
Distillery Information
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
